For Sale: 1959 Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite in Concord, North Carolina
This 1959 Austin Healy Sprite Mark I was partially restored in 2019
and is a nice example of the classic British roadster. The Sprite
Mark I (produced from 1958 through 1961) was nick-named the
'Bugeye'. The red exterior has been re-sprayed and is in very good
condition. All chrome/stainless trim appears to be correct and is
virtually flawless. Radial tires are mounted on 13" factory steel
wheels with center caps. The restored black interior looks original
including the huge factory wheel and passenger grab bar. Seats have
been reupholstered in black vinyl. The 948cc engine was partially
refreshed in 2019 and runs smoothly and a four-speed manual gearbox
shifts flawlessly. This motor is equipped with original dual SU
carbs that are well synchronized. Front lever shocks work in
conjunction with A-arms/coils and rear double trailing
links/semi-elliptic leaf springs. Brakes are 4-wheel manual drum.
This beautiful 'Bugeye' Sprite will make you smile. ALL VEHICLES
SOLD "AS IS".
