Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1973 Volkswagen Bus for
your consideration. It is powered by a 1.7L "pancake" engine mated
to a 4-speed transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. It
runs and drives good, steers well, and stops straight.
The body is impressively clean and finished in an awesome orange
color. The print quality is good and is accented by white steel
bumpers, white pop-top, white painted wheels, dual chrome mirrors,
and shiny chrome trim. The van also has twin vented screen windows
on the door and side. The Westfalia conversion package brings a
cool lifting camper top, and custom interior.
The interior itself shows some signs of wear but is still very much
in useable condition. The dashboard is clean and features
aftermarket gauges to monitor the engine while touring the country.
It has great wood cabinetry, cooler, custom VW Bus print curtains,
and tons of storage! The interior is a great place to spend
extended amounts of time and is a true home on wheels.
There are few automotive icons that bring as much joy and nostalgia
as Volkswagens ubiquitous Bus. The Type 1 Bus first game to the
states in 1951 and very characterized by their large number of
windows (21 or 23). The later T2 model was much-revised and was a
bit larger and heavier than the early models. The T2 models were
made famous by their partnership with Westfalia, a German-based
camper conversion company. With that legendary pairing, the famous
VW Westy was born.
