For Sale: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air in Alpharetta, Georgia

Vehicle Description

GORGEOUS, FRAME-OFF RESTORED, MATADOR RED 1957 CHEVROLET BEL AIR CONVERTIBLE NICELY EQUIPPED WITH ORIGINAL 283 4BBL, POWER STEERING, AND CONTINENTAL KIT....READY TO SHOW AND GO!!!

This Matador Red '57 Bel Air is absolutely stunning from top to bottom! While the frame-off restoration was done about 10 years ago it looks like it could have just rolled out of the restoration shop.  I have this car in my showrrom and I am aselling it for a gentlemen who lives locally here in the Atlanta, GA area who is in the proceess of thinning his collection. He purchased this beauty about a year ago but he simply accumulated more cars then he can drive so he asked me to find her a new home....maybe yours!!!? He purchased this car out of Florida where it had previously owned by another collector and was rarely driven but always well maintained.  I will do my best to provide you with enough pics, a video of the car runnning and an honest description to help you decide if this beauty should be in your garage. I am also a transport broker and can get you a great rate on Enclosed Transport anywhere in the US. I also welcome overseas buyers and can assist in getting the car to the port of your choice.

As you will see in the pics the Paint nd Body are in amazing condition with no rust or sign of rust repair. Body panels are very straight overall and panel gaps are excellent.  The Matado Red paint has a show finish and was recently buffed out. All of your stainless and chrome looks fantastic and was either replaced or reconditioned. Bumpers shine like new!  Although it may not be completely flawless, it is pretty darn close and will definitely win its share of trophies at the local shows. Even better, you can drive it to the shows as it hits the road beautifully.  This one has the Continental kit which is a really classy addition on a Bel Air Convertible!  It also has the fender skirts and dual antennaes. Glass is all in excellent condition and weather stripping was all replaced at time of restoration and still looks close to new.  I think you will see just how nice she is in the pics of the body.

Of course I hope that whoever buys this beauty enjoys it with the top down as much as possible but if needed the White Power Convertible top is in fantastic condition and operates well.  The boot cover snaps on for a clean finished look when the top is down.

Complimenting the gorgeous Matador Red exterior is an equally imporessive red and silver interior. Everything was redone from the door panels, seat covers, correct carpeting, and beautful dash.  The seats look like they have barely been sat on since the restoration and are very comfortable. Plenty of room in the front bench seat for a couple of loved ones to enjoy the ride. I did notice that they did not add the buttons in the seat backs when they redid the interior. I would guess this could be added if desired but definitely not needed.  The paint on the dash looks awesome as does the instrument cluster whihc is all crystal clear. All of the gauges appear to be functioning correctly.  Nice set of red chevrolet rubber floor mats finish out the show worthy interior.

Under the hood sits what we believe is the original 283 4bbl. turbo fire motor that we were told was rebuilt at the time of the restoration. The stamping on the engine pad is very readable and the "FC" 2 letter code indicates a correct motor for a 283 4bbl with powerglide transmission. It runs strong and smooth. The 283 is mated to the Powerglide automatic transmission which shifts as it should and makes this a great cruiser.  Power steering makes handling a breeze and brakes stop wonderfully with little effort.   As this was a frame off restoration, all of the body bushings and suspension components appear to be newer and this '57 Bel Air Convertible glides along the road, ready for some top down enjoyment.  As you will see in the pics the engine bay was also nicely detailed so you will be proud to pop the hood at any cruise-ins or shows. Beautiful set of Wide White wall tires set this '57 off just right.  The undercarriage looks just as nice and was also highly detailed at the time of the frame off restoration. Floorpans are rock solid and painted in the matching Matador Red and the frame was blasted and painted.  Inside the trunk also looks great!

Overall, this is a truly an investment quality '57 Bel Air Convertible that is ready to show and go! Make sure to watch the video for a walk around tour and to hear it start up and running. The asking price is $79,500 and serious buyers can call me at 770-359-8400 with any questions.
