1955 is the first year for the “Baby Bird” first generation two-seat Thunderbird. Part sports car, part luxury car, the thunderbird was introduced in order to go compete directly with Chevrolet's Corvette but instead of an inline 6 it featured the 292 Y-block V8 with the signature finned Thunderbird valve covers. This 55 thunderbird has many features more common on later cars such as power seats and power windows. All of the gauges function as they should along with the radio as well as the clock. The car shifts and idles smoothly with no issues whatsoever .The car is also equipped with an electronic full pump for careless starting. The car was repainted in its original color at some point in the past and has recently had an interior restoration featuring new door cards, carpet, etc.
