In 2005, Panoz applied the experience they gained in LeMans racing to the Esperante to create the special edition GTLM. The body received significant aerodynamic upgrades, an aluminum hood, and a new carbon fiber superstructure. The GTLM is powered by an SVT-derived supercharged Ford 32-valve DOHC 4.6 liter V8 engine paired with a heavy-duty Tremec 6-speed gearbox. An 8.8 inch limited-slip differential handles the extra power generated by this understated supercar.
This particular GTLM has been further enhanced from originally impressive to now monstrous levels. At the Panoz dealer when new, the original supercharger was replaced with a Ford Racing/Whipple twin-screw unit and exhales through ceramic-coated stainless headers, and a high-flow sport exhaust system. Output is stated to now be 650 horsepower. Also added were PIAA Racing 19-inch light alloy wheels and Brembo front brakes with 14 inch cross drilled rotors. This is a unique opportunity to own one of the rarest (and fastest) Esperantes ever produced in near-new condition with extremely low documented miles.
