For Sale: 1964 Ford 100 in Idaho Springs, Colorado

Vehicle Description

Good day to you. The first buyer sale fell through. My Dad's 1964 Ford F100 Custom Cab is available to you. Description: VIN# F11CK558487, 4WD, V8 (292-2v, 135hp, 3800rpm) , turquoise long bed w/added springs. 150 foot winch. This is a four-on-the-floor transmission. (You must begin driving in 2nd gear or you could snap your neck!) In 4-Low and in the Granny gear, this thing will take you anywhere you want to go. If you can't get there in the "Green Truck", you might reconsider where you are going! Completely original vehicle, no modifications (except the radio). My Dad bought it new in '64. I recently replaced the ignition & wiring, battery, voltage regulator, radiator & belt/hoses, new carpet, oil/lube change. I have the original catalog paint chip for we always just called it 'the Green truck'. It is easy to put the hubs in and out (drive in reverse for a few feet if one seems tight). I did not have it repainted because I am told the "Patina" look is popular. Never even knew the term.

Issues: there are two fender well dents that have not rusted and could be easily pulled out with the right expertise. The rust is not bad considering she is 56 years old. There is some bubble rust in front of  one of the rear tires. There is one rusted though hole hole in the forward part of the steps getting into the cab.The gas gauge and the cigarette lighter do not work. Everything else does what it is supposed to. I have never had a problem starting in the first tries, no matter how cold it is or how long it has been (alway gotta pump the gas a couple of times first.)

I have frequently been stopped in parking lots and asked if I wanted to sell the Ford. Nope, I didn't. However, now is the right time to sell this original owner family member. I can send  more photos, if you wish. As you peruse other sights, you will find that our '64 Ford is well priced, perhaps a bit under so. J.D. Power / NADA list the value of the pickup at $13,150 (Low Retail) and 24,525 (Average Retail).

I'm west of Denver and can help deliver it to the (sniff!) new owner.  I will assist with shipping logistics if out of town, meeting with a vehicle transport courier or whatever, but that will be at your cost. Take care. / Jim Vogt. Vogt ddott jim at G(postal service) ddott COMpany.
