For Sale: 1973 Ford Bronco in Pacific Palisades, California

Vehicle Description

This 1973 420HP Coyote Bronco has our own Legend 12 inch coil-over suspension and has been built to exceed the Classic Ford Bronco industry’s highest standards, using a factory Bronco chassis (not an aftermarket VIN swapped chassis that some of our competitors have been selling their clients). This is the most durable Coyote Bronco we’ve ever built with Legend 12″ coil over suspension. It has a new Hellwig front sway bar, plus a custom built rear anti-sway bars running through the custom built stainless steel fuel tank (which holds 20 gallons of fuel). It has a new Gen 2 Coyote engine coupled with a (700HP capable) 4R70W four-speed automatic transmission, plus a new Atlas 2 3.0 ratio two speed shift-on-the-fly transfer case, backed up with new Spicer drive shafts and u-joints. This Coyote Bronco has custom ($10K each) Currie Fabricated Ford 9" front and rear axles. It has the best brakes you can install on any Classic Ford Bronco, a new Hydratech Hydro-Boost hydraulic power brake system with Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes in front and in the back, plus a working emergency brake.

The 2-stage bodywork and Avalanche Gray PPG paint has been carefully blocked before paint was applied, all body panels were replaced prior to paint. A paint job of this caliber cost us over $20K, plus the cost of all of the new body panels. Although this Bronco was pretty rust-free when we started the project, it is now officially 100% rust free. We estimate that this paint job should last anther 30-40 years if kept covered whenever possible, or when garage kept.

Amber Glow Vintage Distressed Diamond-Stitched double-stitch (Ball Glove) leather covers the entire interior. The steering wheel is leather wrapped, the reclining high back bucket seats with head rests (on sliding brackets) are leather wrapped, the factory rear seat, the door, rear side and tailgate panels, the black locking center console, the 4x4 shifter cover, the wiper motor cover, the roll cage pads, plus the custom one-of-a-kind custom hand stitched snap-in carpet mats have all been meticulously covered in Diamond Stitched double-stitch Vintage Distressed (Ball Glove) Leather. Besides having one of the single best interiors we've even seen, it also has one of the best built family roll cages in the business, the Rocky Roads Legend Family roll cage with heavy duty trussing, powder coated black, built by one of the best fabrication shop in Los Angeles, mounted with only grade 8 hardware, with retractable front and rear seat belts. This cage runs from the rear quarter panels all the way down to the floor pans in front, it offers far better protection than other cages that just cut off at the windshield frame, or that don't even go to the front of the Bronco. Some builders make cages that stop 'before' they get to the floor pans in the front of the Bronco, watch out for those, they offer only 'basic' protection in the case of a roll-over. You my need a well built cage like this some day, that's why this is the only cage we will install for our discerning clients.

This Bronco has new 17x7" Smooth Retro Parchment (off-white) wheels with 4.5" back spacing (perfect for uncut fenders) with brand new 285/70R17 BFG All Terrain tires, with recently installed restored FORD dog-dish hub caps, plus a matching spare wheel and tire mounted to a new heavy duty black powder coated Rock Solid rear bumper with a swing out tire carrier, plus a Legend Hybrid plated steel front bumper with push bar, a Warn 9500lb winch, new Baja Designs 4" LED lights complement the new LED head lamps in front. This Bronco is as heavy duty as the come, albeit it's sleeper look. It's like that little train that 'Could'.

Heads turn wherever this Bronco shows up, whether it's at local Malibu car shows or at the finest shops in Beverly Hills. This Bronco has all new electrical, plus a new Legend dash with Dakota Digital speedometer, plus all new billet A/C controller and billet switch bezels. You will not see any wires run inside the engine bay, all wiring has been professionally hidden so the engine bay looks immaculate. Everything the dash is new. The A/C lines are all completely hidden.

It has new aircraft sun visors, an interior LED done light, and a restored electric wiper system. The sound system is a Double Din in-dash Kenwood unit, with a Focal 5 channel amplifier with eight 6.5" Focal component speakers flush-mounted throughout the cab, plus a RR Woofer console mounted underneath the rear seat, plus RR raiser brackets.

You will hard pressed to find a Bronco as nice as this one for under $250K. IF we don't sell it in before the end of August, this Bronco will be listed in BaT, so keep your eyes out. A new driving / action shot Video will be posted on our @RockyRoadsBroncos Instagram account soon as well. It comes with a boat-canvas fitted over that was fitted on this Bronco. This cover cost over $1,000.00, and it will keep the Bronco clean and dust-free if kept on the vehicle regularly.

This Bronco has been recently sold. We are building another one that is going to be set up very similarly to this one, only it's Meissen Blue (a 1959 Porsche color) We will be updating the ad for that one on our page as soon as we can.

More information and a video coming soon!
