1979 Dodge Aspen R/T with Matching number engine and transmission.
Spitfire Orange, Black Interior and equipped with the E58 360 4BBL,
buckets, console automatic, am/fm 8 track, very rare T-TOPS, power
Disc Brakes, rear defrost, A/C, tilt wheel and Remote Mirrors. It
is pretty much unmolested and original. Along the way, someone has
changed the carb and went to a electric fuel pump. I have purchased
a Grant Tuff wheel(installed) for it and installed new carpet.
Odometer currently states 48k miles which I believe to be original
due to the lack of grime and oil leaks in the engine compartment.
It has its original paint and you can see where some of it has
baked off. The car has sat for several years at a business and by
the looks of it outside in the sun as well. Car runs and drives to
a certain degree but the carb is not tuned very well. As the days
go by, I will be playing with that issue until it is sold. Wish the
original Thermoquad was there. Will be a very easy car to complete
and a 2 fender tag vehicle. From Allpar, there were 872 1979 Dodge
Aspen R/T's made, 418 of 34,882 Aspen's made in 1979 had T-Tops,
and 384 of the 34,882 Aspens made had the E58 360 4BBL. Real
question is how many of the 872 Aspen R/T's had T-Tops and the
E58???? Very few I am sure, considering the R/T was available with
almost any engine. This is a very loaded R/T with 2 fender tags.
