Tough to find fourth generation Ranchero! 302 V8 w/ Cruise-O-Matic
automatic transmission! All four tires brand new!
BODY OVERVIEW: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the body
on this Ranchero will take some enthusiasts a few moments to
appreciate. This truck (car?) appears to have never received a full
restoration, but it looks to have been customized around the late
1980s or early 1990s. Some patches have been performed on the floor
pans as well as the bed floor, and to be anything more than a nice
driver this car (truck?) would need a full restoration. We are
unsure how much active rust this vehicle has but from what we can
see it has had previous rust repairs.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Much like the body, the paint is
certainly showing its age. This is certainly not original paint,
and is likely a 25+ year old respray. Make no mistake, this car
could be enjoyed as is, but the paint is best suited for use on an
affordable classic driver.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior looks to be the same age
as the rest of the custom touches this vehicle has received, but
has held up better over time. It was certainly put together by
someone who knew what they were doing! The seats and headliner have
been recovered in what we will affectionately refer to as "city bus
seat material." It is very '90s, very unique, and really suits the
aesthetic of this car. Whether this is to your tastes or not, the
majority of interior components are in nice condition and would be
great candidates for interior restoration.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood, this car shows signs of
maintenance in recent years. The engine bay is showing some age,
but the engine still retains that classic Ford small block look and
it runs fantastically. The 302 fires right up and this car is very
enjoyable to drive! This car runs twice as good as it looks! With a
few tweaks, this Ranchero could be made into a reliable
cruiser.
