For Sale: 1968 Ford Mustang GT350 in Houston, Texas

Vehicle Description

This vehicle is a 1968 Ford Mustang Convertible GT350 Tribute painted in Acapulco Blue with painted white stripes. The car was restored in 2016 by Chris Ingrassia at Mustang Restorations with $48,000 spent on restorations alone. I purchased the car from Volo Auto Museum in 2017, who purchased it from the original owner with only 500 miles since restoration.

Since purchasing, I have added:

  • Global West Tubular subframe connectors

  • Steve Drake passenger side mirror

  • Period-appropriate AUTOLITE battery cover

  • Global West Tubular upper control arms

  • KYB Gas-A-Just shocks

  • Both hydraulic cylinders for the convertible top

  • Borgeson Power Steering

  • Monte Carlo bar under hood

  • Period-Appropriate stereo from custom Auto Sound

  • New BGF Radial T/A's

  • I replaced the gas cap with a correct ‘68 Shelby replica

The vehicle has no internal or external blemishes and the convertible top functions without issue and is in like-new condition. All rubber moldings were replaced during the 2016 restoration. The trunk has a full-sized spare, jack, and tire tool and is complete with plaid matting, plaid tire cover, plaid parade boot cover, and dynamite sticks for the sequential tail lights. The car has never been driven in the rain which will be obvious when you see how clean and oil-free the undercarriage is. Considerable effort was made during restoration to include all under hood assembly line inspection marks and to include all factory operation/instruction stickers in their factory-installed locations.  The original 289 ci was rebuilt to 300 hp, a Webber 4 barrel carb was added along with Edelbrock Performer 289 intake manifold and short tube headers. During the restoration, a new radiator was installed, all hoses and replica original hose clamps. A new coil, distributor and plug wires were installed in 2018. Underhood cosmetics include Shelby air cleaner and valve covers.

This car is beautiful in every aspect and never fails to garner comments and draw admirers. The paint is amazing without flaws or swirling, and the interior shows as new. During the restoration, the entire interior was replaced, including all seat covers and seat foam.  It is wonderfully spirited, handles great, and is an absolutely reliable driver. With a Tremec 5 speed, 4wheel power disc brakes, and complete bushing replacement during restoration. It can be driven with confidence at any distance and at highway speeds. I have driven the car just 2900 miles since purchase and it has always been stored and covered in a climate-controlled garage. I have shown it in many local car and cruise events and I have never left without an award.

I have enjoyed this car very much and meticulously maintained it, but it is now time for something different. I welcome all calls and serious inquiries. Please feel free to contact me at any time. Todd @ 281.660.9666. Please no sellers brokers. Thank you for your interest.
