Triumph TR6 Convertible. This car has had a frame-off restoration. I have many pics taken during the process. She has not been out of the garage much since the restoration so she still looks great. I lost my workshop space so some things still need to be finished, but she is 99% completed.
The engine and trans were pulled in 2003. The engine was overhauled ( rings, bearings, valve job, deck the block, shave the heads and 2 new Weber carbs, header and new exhaust). The trans was good and only needed a bearing on the front shaft and a rear seal. Drive train was then re-installed along with a new clutch assy and clutch master cylinder. I replaced the convertible top, carpet and most of the interior panels at this point and then drove it as a summer fun car till 2008 when I started the rest of the restoration.
Body was taken off of frame and frame was sandblasted and painted --- most bushings and rubber components were replaced along with brakes-front springs and shocks.......car was rewired with Advance Auto wire harness...http://www.advanceautowire.com/. The body was stripped with media-blasting and repainted… frt & rear bumpers were rechromed and installed.
The car would make a great driver. She needs somebody to give her some time and TLC.
