• Paint and Body

The Dark Red (74A) paint on this Monte Carlo is almost as nice as it was when the car was at the Chevy dealership in 1973.    The bold color of the body makes a wonderful contrast with the white vinyl top.  Some  minor chips and dents are consistent with this being a great driver with only 61,303 miles recorded on the odometer.

The chrome trim (bumpers, grill, etc.) is all in excellent condition, setting off the stateliness of the car.

The underside of this Monte Carlo appears solid and sound with only surface rust (the car was undercoated when new).

The white vinyl top is in excellent condition and is equipped with the factory rear window defogger option.  There is a dent under the vinyl roof on passenger side.

• Interior

The red cloth interior is clean and fresh-looking, and as one would expect, the upholstery is free of rips, holes or separations.

The gauges all appear to work properly as do the lights and horn. The speedometer and turn signals likewise work properly.  Even the clock works!

• Engine

The Monte Carlos were equipped with Chevy’s 350 cid V-8 engine providing ample power for this cruiser. At the touch of the starter the engine comes to life and rumbles quietly through the car’s new exhaust system.

• Transmission

The Turbo Hydramatic transmission works smoothly and properly.

• Brakes

The brakes [power front disc] on the Monte Carlo bring it to a quick halt without any pulling from side to side.
