Vehicle Description
Lone Star Muscle Cars is proud to present one of the rarest muscle
cars ever produced. Let's go to the land down under as the
kangaroos and the dust devils run the long black highways and a
very young Angus was tuning his guitar. The soon to be famous XBGT
351 was ruling the roads. Powered by the heart pounding 351
Cleveland and four speed standard transmission. While over here in
the states the guys over at Ford were producing quite a few of the
MACH 1 Mustangs and in 1974 the Mustang got small but not in Aussie
land. Only 949 real XBGT's coupes were built from 1973 till 1976
and in the final year a mere 125 units came off the production
line. So in comparison to the Mustang this is a super low
production and rare car indeed. Back in 1979 the GT Falcon was made
famous and became a cult sensation with the start of the Mad Max
Movies. This made these right hand drive cars known in the US and
also let all of us know that we were not the only muscle car nuts
on the planet. This GT is unrestored except for approximately 50%
of the paint (guardrail rub in Australia) and some bolt on
modifications. This car was extensively raced on the quarter mile
drag-strip and various road courses in Australia and the USA. It
was retired from competition in 2003. Equipment includes 351
Cleveland 4V Toploder four speed nine inch posi track rear end four
wheel disc brakes tramp rods(traction bars) fog lights and 250 KPH
(160 MPH) power windows. Here is your chance to own not only a
piece of history but an extremely rare car and something really
cool you won't see at every car show. As an added bonus we have the
original engine that has been machined and is ready to be
reinstalled in the car. Visit Lone Star Muscle Cars online by
