For Sale: 1928 Dodge Brothers Victory Six in TACOMA, Washington

Vehicle Description

Introduction: This beauty started out as a stock all steel car before being fully customized.  It took 3 years to build and was completed in 2015.  It has been featured in multiple car magazines and has won many awards including “Chopped and Dropped” at the 2018 Goodguys Pacific NW Nationals.  This a newer exciting custom build by the renowned Pacific Northwest custom car builder Ron Arant of Olympia, WA.

Body/Paint: Let’s start with the frame.  Custom fabricated box frame and fuel cell.  The continental kit was removed and a new panel fabricated so that the body could be stretched 6” and slid back along the frame.  New metal floor pans from the firewall back through the trunk were installed along with custom cross-bracing underneath so that you do not have to worry about rusty floors!

The roof was chopped 2”, so a new rear window from a 1934 International pick up was installed.  The doors and body were stretched, there is a one-piece full length hood, total custom grill with custom insert hiding the AC condenser, and visor across the front.  Specialty 2 speed black billet windshield wipers.  The original Dodge Brothers blinkers/parking lights housing and glass and the original headlight housings were used.  A custom vinyl roof inset was installed.  Custom magnetic fuel access door.  The taillights are from a 1941 Chevrolet.  This has full-length chrome bumpers and is completed with a PPG Sage 2 stage paint by Classy Chassis, Olympia, WA with custom pinstriping.

Interior: Original dash reversed to make room for AC and custom gauges from Classic Instruments.  Polished tilt steering column with billet banjo style steering wheel.  Volvo 6-way power seats covered in sage leather by Richard’s Upholstery, Olympia, WA.  Custom fabricated center console with RetroSounds digital stereo and a GM billet shifter.  Sage flecked tweed fabric door panels, headliner, and side kick panels.  VintageAir rotary control panel.  Specialty Power Windows with hand crank actuator.  Includes hidden trunk release.

Power plant/running gear: 1995 Chevrolet LT1 with 300 HP multiport fuel injection, 4L60E automatic overdrive transmission.  Electric cruise control by GlobalCruise.  Ron Francis wiring and fuse box keeps everything connected.

Suspension: Front suspension is Heidt’s Super Ride IFS with Aldan coilovers with front sway bar and rack and pinion steering.  Independent rear suspension is from a 1995 300ZX mounted in a custom crossmember converted to coilovers.

Glass: Custom glass fabricated by Dennis Caines of Safelite, Olympia, WA

Exhaust: Custom dual exhaust with QTP QTEC electronic cut-outs.

Brakes: Wilwood disc brakes activated by a 1995 Chevrolet S10 master cylinder.

Wheels/tires: Custom 16” artillery style wheels with 1934 Dodge baby moons wrapped by Yokohama rubber.

Summary: This is an exceptional custom fabricated build from start to finish with careful consideration to every detail.  This car has been enjoyed and has never failed to turn heads at any event.  We have digital photos documenting the build process.
