Vehicle Description
1938 Chevrolet Sedan
If you are in search of your next street rod look no further. This
38 Chevy screams potential and has a lot invested in it already
putting it ahead of your standard project. We also hate to even
call it a project because as it sits it would make an awesome rat
rod. However, if you decide to take it further a lot of the work
has already been done. Old steel bodys like this are tough to find
especially in such good shape. A large part of the body has been
prepped and primered but what hasn't been primered has a nice layer
of patina. A lot of the original trim is still in place and looking
good. The body has been modified with a 1 1/2 chop of the front
pillers and the roof tilted forward for a clean side profile. The
front bumper has also been custom made to split around the grill
and sit closer to the body. The original headlight buckets are
fitted with sealed beam lights and in back are the original
taillights that have been converted to LED. With the 4 corner air
ride suspension system the stance of the car is fully adjustable
but it looks really good dropped to the ground with the Bonneville
salt flat tires tucked under the fenders. These American Racing
wheels suit the car perfectly and it has 18" rims in front and 20"
in the back.
Open up with 4 piece hood and you will reveal a nicely built 350 V8
that is ready to go. The car starts up, runs, and drives well. The
motor utilizes an Edelbrock 600 cfm carburetor, aluminum AC
condensor, aluminum radiator, a Weiand manifold, finned valve
covers and headers into dual exhaust. It is paired with a 700R4
transmission that leads back to a 10 bolt rear end. In addition to
the air ride system it has ladder bars and a Mustang II style
Fatman front suspension. All of the brakes have been converted to
disc and are power. It also has power steering which sets it up to
be a very comfortable driver. The gas tank is a 18 gallon poly tank
with the chrome filler cap located on the passenger rear fender. It
is really set up nicely and is sure to deliver a lot of fun
memories cruising down the road.
The interior features the original dash but has been modified with
Gray faced Classic Instrument gauges. In front of the driver sits a
tilt column topped off with a 40 Ford steering wheel. Underdash AC
vents were used and the AC/Heat system works well. Later model
adjustable bucket seats have been added for the driver/passenger
and are done in Black. Other very nice features include the Lokar
floor shifter, power windows, and a hidden stereo system. The air
ride tanks are mounted in the trunk area which also houses an
assortment of parts that come with the car.
This cool classic is really neat as is but it also a great starting
point should you want to take it further.
