This is a very clean 1976 Volkswagen Super Beetle cabriolet. D & J Auto in Fountain Valley, California did the refurbishment work included repairing the body and repainting the exterior, refurbishment of the convertible top frame and installation of a replacement soft top, reupholstering the interior, rebuilding the 1.6-liter flat-four, and overhauling the four-speed manual transaxle. The car was also modified with a higher fourth gear for highway driving, a spin-on type oil filter, a wood-rimmed nardi steering wheel, and an Alpine stereo with CD player. The body was repainted its original white and features a replacement black soft top with a glass rear window. The bodywork performed at that time included repairing minor dings and straightening the air vents under the front bumper. The convertible top frame was sandblasted and powder-coated prior to the replacement material being fitted. The fender beading, body trim, and running boards were replaced, and the bumpers and window trim were re-chromed. Photos showing the top down are available in the images.
