This is 1 of 2 cars we bought from the personal collection of a guy
who owns, restores and builds his own cars as well as for others. He
has a full service restoration/repair shop in his backyard. He
builds them to a very high level but insists that they must run and
drive as nice as they look and this car is no exception.
He told us that he has owned this Camaro since graduating high
school in 1989, that he bought it from the 2nd owner who had just
finished restoring the car a few years prior using only GM
replacement parts
{they were available back then} to complete the build like both
1/4's are General Motors replacement panels.
He took the car off the frame and restored the car again himself in
2013 mainly to freshen up the car. He beautifully fit and finished
the body and painted it in ''Diamont'' base/clear ''Plum Mist'' and
I must say it is Show Quality Gorgeous !! A new and correct black
vinyl top was installed as well as all new chrome, trim & weather
stripping too. The standard black interior was also replaced new.
It looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.
Power comes from a N.O.M. but correct 1968 396c.i. big block engine
that was rebuilt during the restoration process. It runs strong and
sounds awesome with it's custom 3'' exhaust ! It is backed up by a
Super T-10 4 speed transmission with Hurst short throw shifter and
a 12 bolt posi rear with 3:73 gears.
Other features include, power steering with quick ratio steering
box, power disc brakes, {front only} aluminum radiator, 15'' steel
wheels with poverty caps and new tires and a whole lot more.
This is a quality car that shows everywhere you look ! NO
DISAPPOINTMENTS !!
