1977 MG MGB- New Paint and decals in 2020. 3 family owned since
new. Previous owner states: In 1977 the car was purchased new by a
young lady from Davenport Iowa. Sometime around 1979-1980 the lady
sold the MG to the father of the man we bought the car from. It was
only driven on warm sunny days, never in bad weather. His father
did normal regular maintenance to the vehicle and took very good
care of it. Actually he had a name for the car, Mr. gee's buggy
"MGB" his last name was Gee. His father passed in 1989 leaving the
car with his mother. Sometime in 2014 Economy Coating in Camanche
Iowa purchased the car from his mother. The car was than taken to
Pelham Bro's. in Clinton Iowa. Pelham installed a new clutch, rag
top, tires and minor tuneup. In 2015 the son of the second owner
purchased the car back from Economy Coatings and kept it until we
purchased it the summer of 2020. As described by the last owner he
didn't do any upgrades to the car other than normal maintenance and
driving it occasionally. After we received the car we performed
some maintenance which included: Replacing spark plugs, wires, cap
and rotor. Rebuilt carburetor, installed new valve cover gasket,
installed new alternator, fixed fuel pump, replaced all vacuum
lines and V-belt and replaced fuel and air filter. We also had the
entire car repainted and new MGB decals made for each side. The
miles showing 54,580 are original. It comes with the original
wheels (not installed) spare tire, jack and tools. Tonneau cover is
included as well. This is a great showing, fun driving car that's
ready to be shown off. SMILES not included but are unavoidable!
