1946 Chevrolet 3100 Custom Pickup Truck

This custom pickup truck was built in 2004 in the classic lowrider tradition. While it may lack the hydraulics that some may associate with the car culture, the truck is a Lowrider Super Show winner. This prestigious honor was bestowed in Espanola, New Mexico, often considered the lowrider capital of the world!
The truck sits on a chassis enhanced by a Mustang II front end, brakes updated to disc front with drums on the rear, and a Chevy 12-bolt posi-traction rear-end. The truck has been lowered giving it a distinctive style and look.
Powered by a Chevy 350 V-8 mated to a TH350 transmission, the truck is a pleasure to drive. The chrome upgrades under the hood are sure to impress any classic car enthusiast.
While a solid truck before the build, the body shows straight and true. The front fenders, cab, bed and hood are original to the truck, while the running boards are fiberglass. The rear fenders, to accommodate the wider stance of the rear axle, wheels and tires, are also fiberglass. Custom graphics on the running boards and sun-visor is a testament to the owners roots in Michoacan, Mexico.
The custom interior provides a great finish to the truck. Tilt Steering, custom wood grain dash, custom gauges and professional upholstery fit well with the truck.
