1959 Buick LeSabre

The LeSabre nameplate was first presented in 1951 and introduced the world to aircraft inspired design elements such as the wrap-around windshield and tail fins. The 1959 Buick LeSabre became the new moniker replacing the long-running Buick Special nameplate. The 1959 Buicks received all new styling adopting the GM B-body, and featured slanted headlights in front along with a chromey square grill and "Delta-wing" fins and round taillights.
The car presented at auction received a complete body restoration in 2018 and retains the original drive train. Beginning with a very solid car, the only significant body work required was replacement of the front floor pans. Custom Metallic paint was applied and enhanced with custom graphics commensurate with the "low-rider" appearance tradition. When reviewing the pictures of this beautiful car, please note that all graphics are hand painted. The bumpers were re-chromed and all stainless trim is present and shows extremely well. New weather stipping was applied throughout the car.
The cabin of the car benefited from a complete new custom luxury interior. While retaining the beautiful look of the era, the driver is taken by the fit and finish of the upholstery, headliner and carpet. Extensive effort was put into making sure every component on the dash works, with meticulous attention paid to fine details.
Under the hood presents the original 364 V-8. The stock engine sports 140-151 lbs of compression across the 8 cylinders and runs exceptionally smooth. The push-button starter on the accelerator engages effortlessly and the car rides on suspension stock to the car. The two speed Dynaflow transmission was rebuilt during the restoration and moves the car down the road like it should.
