classic GMT400! This C1500 2WD Silverado is well-preserved!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this C1500 is very nice considering the
age and mileage. With 168,000 on the odometer, the body alone shows
how well-maintained this truck is. Trucks don't stay this nice for
that long under heavy abuse! Still wearing its original paint, it
is easy to see just how straight the body on this truck is. There
are some minor dings here and there, but this old girl has aged
well!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The original red paint is in great
condition, and still has a great shine to it! These trucks had
heavy issues with peeling clear coat as they aged, and seeing one
still in original paint this nice is quite the treat. Other than
some sun damage on the roof, this paint has held up incredibly well
and shows the kind of treatment this truck received. Even the
inside of the bed is in nice shape! This truck has been used for
its intended purpose, but certainly not abused.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior condition is perhaps the
most pleasantly surprising aspect of this truck. If you've ever
owned a higher mileage GMT400 truck before, you know how these
interiors begin to look over time. The interior on this truck isn't
showroom-new, but overall it is in great condition and needs
nothing to be enjoyed as-is. It even has the original radio and
tape deck! Red interiors had a tendency to fade, and this one still
has plenty of color and is showing minimal wear.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Don't let the mileage fool you; the 5.7 V8 in
this Chevy runs like new. The exhaust gives this truck a little bit
of rumble, but isn't too loud and is certainly adequate for daily
use. Sitting on the original wheels and nice General tires, this
truck retains its classic early-1990s look. If you know these
trucks, you know that the 2WD C1500s are some of the best driving
pickups of the era. This 28-year-old pickup handles like it isn't a
day over 1!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: This is a good, honest,
well-maintained southern truck that has been in the Charlotte, NC
area for nearly 20 years! Plus, the overall originality that this
truck has is getting harder to find.
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: Aftermarket add-ons like the
hood ornament on this truck aren't for everyone. But that's no
reason to turn up your nose at an original truck this clean!
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? It could use some minor cosmetic tweaks both
inside and out, but if you're looking to use it for a truck, it is
ready to go!
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Someone who grew up in the
1990s/early 2000s would love to have this in their driveway. If you
remember spending your days looking at brochures for the new
domestic trucks as a kid, this old girl should do the trick!
