Not all GTO's are created equal and this one is in fairly rarified air- here's why...let's start with being one of 1,986 automatic coupes equipped from the factory with the big thumper engine- yep, that's right the 455HO. The current block in the car is a 73 but the heads, intake and carb are all factory correct. Per the PHS docs this GTO got Factory Air- my oh my. Also, per the PHS lets add Cordova top, remote mirror, Rally 2 wheels, console, A/C, decor group, Turbo 400 Trans, radio, seat belts, gauges with tach, and tinted glass.

Did I mention this car is Cardinal Red, with a White Cordova Top and a red Interior? What a great color combination, just as the factory built it. Since we are talking about the GTO lets mention it was originally a California car and it shows it today...very solid underneath with great panels and body. The car was painted about 15 years ago and we did some touch up to improve its appearance a bit- I'd call the paint and body a solid B driver plus quality.

The engine compartment is very tidy and presents as factory correct and original. The interior follows suit and has great looking seats, door panels, carpet and dash.

Per the previous owner the engine and turbo 400 were completely gone through in the last year with a bill that was around 6K. I did not receive any paperwork in that regard but believe it completely based on the way the car performs.

If you are looking for a documented correct 455 GTO with air that you can cruise and show you may very well have found your car. No questions regarding how this car was built or what it is today.
