For Sale: 1963 Oldsmobile Starfire in Rochester, New York

Vehicle Description

Up for Sale is my 1963 Olds Starfire Convertible. This is a very well-documented one-family owned car that was in storage for over 35 years. It has just over 39,000 Original miles. I have complete owner history and a copy of original bill of sale from 1st owner (2nd owner was his sister). The engine is the original 394cid Big block "Ultra High Compression" V8. Transmission is the original 3 speed automatic with console-mounted floor shifter. Beautiful original genuine leather interior and perfect dash. All dash lights illuminate as they should as well as under-hood lamp and trunk lamp. The car is equipped with a power top, power windows, power driver's seat, and power antenna which all function as they should. Heater and defroster are in proper working order as well. It has the original bucket seat with full-console interior in near-perfect show condition with no rips or tears of any kind. Console mounted factory tach works as it should as well. Trunk is completely original and fully lined as a top-of-the-line model would be with original spare and jack with cover. I have spent the last several years going through the car from top to bottom to make sure it is a dependable, safe car which could be driven anywhere without any trouble. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. It runs and drives beautifully.  The engine was just re-installed last summer after a 2-year long complete rebuild from top to bottom including painting and detailing of the engine and engine compartment. Every internal component of the engine was replaced with the exception of pistons and crankshaft, but crank was turned and mated to new bearings, and piston rings were all replaced. Engine was not bored because of such low mileage, cylinders were just honed. Heads were completely redone and are specific to this model of 394 in the Starfire. All machine work was professionally done, and assembly was performed by a senior master Corvette technician.  Cooling system is completely new including water pump, hoses, and restored/re-cored radiator. Brake system is completely redone including restored brake booster and master cylinder(done by Fusick Auto), all new brake lines and fittings from front to back including flex hoses, wheel cylinders, shoes, etc. New NOS fuel pump and new fuel lines (fuel gauge works perfectly). Complete new dual exhaust system. I also have 2 new NOS rear resonators and rear pipes if the new owner wants the car quieter than it is. 4 new Hankook H724 whitewall tires. Power steering system is all new including power steering pump, lines, hoses, and gearbox. Alternator has been rebuilt and new voltage regulator installed for trouble free driving. Wiper motor is rebuilt and working as it should. Transmission was pulled and re-sealed with all new external gaskets and seals. Drive shaft was sent out to be sandblasted, balanced, painted, and new U-joints installed. E-brake cables have been replaced for safety. There's just too much to list and way more money invested in this car than I'm asking for it. Please... serious and capable buyers only contact me. The convertible top is in very good condition and is original to car with no rips or tears.  Top boot is also original and comes with storage bag. Car frame has been coated with KBS coatings and is nice and solid. It had typical surface rust having been a northeast car it’s whole life. There is no rust anywhere on the body and paint only has a few flaws in it. I have not done any bodywork or paintwork on the car. Any paintwork that was done to the car is over 35 years old and was done with single-stage lacquer paint which I do have and goes with the car.  I assembled the front end sheet metal with New NOS fenders, radiator support, inner fenders, and battery tray with parts that were painted 35 years ago and stored in boxes with the car.  The front bumper is original to car, but has been rechromed in triple show chrome and is absolutely perfect!  Polished aluminum grille trim is all new NOS parts and is perfect.  The car would only need a some minor areas of paintwork to be show-perfect for judging. Asking $25,500 or best offer.
