The Ton Utility M38 was the military version of the Jeep built
between 1949 and 1952, just Post WWII following the phasing out of
the CJ-3A. Had some advancements like reinforced frame and
suspension, optional waterproof 24 electrical system, sealed vent
system for the engine, trans, transfer and fuel system. The M38
windshield could be folded flat for easy firing. This particular
sweet Jeep has had many parts just recently replaced to make this a
very easy and comfortable Jeep to start, runs and drive down the
road. The list includes but is not limited to all new tires,
brakes, wheel cylinders, springs, shocks, shackles, oil pan and
gasket, fuel pump and filter, fuel lines, alternator, belts, hoses,
recoiled radiator, belts, hoses and much more. This fun rig can be
used for street use, parades, off-road or just about any other
thing you have in mind. We believe that this was a retired Air
Force Jeep that was originally painted AF blue and at some point
re-painted Army Green. The Jeep saw use on Michigan's Beaver Island
where is remained the majority of its life until coming main land
and receiving the full mechanical upgrades.
