We are selling this car for a client who owns a large collection of
Porsche cars. We originally listed this as a "numbers-matching" car
until we noticed the engine number lacked the usual "P". After
digging into this we learned it apparently it has a "dealer
replacement" engine: My understanding is that engines stamped at
the factory (including warranty engines) should have a "P" before
the engine number, and dealer-replacement engines lack the "P"
because they are crate engines stamped by the Porsche dealer.
Please note that we go to extents to document our cars in pictures
and provide the most transparent listings on Ebay. Please study the
pictures carefully rather than requesting descriptions. Please
complete any inspections or ask any questions prior to bidding or
committing to buy the car. Thanks for the interest!
