EXTERIOR: This is certainly a good looker! The Tuxedo black is like
a mirror, the chrome sparkles and the custom wheels add some Wow.
The body looks great. It's really straight, all the panels fit
really well. Specifically I'm looking at passenger door and it fits
spot on, the convertible top lid and the trunk fit exceptionally
well, the driver's door is square and flush, same with the hood and
even the gas door. There are no signs of body damage or repairs
showing through the paint. The paint is not flawless but you'd have
to look to find one. Overall it is like a mirror, looks like you
could dive in. Upfront the chrome looks like it's new, stainless
strips on top of the fenders are polished and straight. Stainless
around the windshield is shiny and bright, vent window pillars are
really nice original. The door handles look new. In back the
bumper, tail lights and emblem look new. It has a convertible black
top that is excellent. The weatherstrips were replaced. It has 17
inch polished Torque Thrust wheels with performance tires. The look
great and improve handling.
INTERIOR: I'm sitting in the car right now. The dash pad has been
replaced and fits really good, visors are new. The original style
gauges looks to be in excellent condition. Steering wheel is not
cracked. The carpet has been replaced and has carpet floor mats.
Upholstery and door panels are very good. They've added seatbelts.
The shifter was upgraded with a Hurst. It has a cheap radio.
Overall not perfect but I think it is very good.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a rebuilt 1962 327 motor with 340 hp. It
has a GM aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb with electric choke and
correct pie pan air cleaner lid. It also has finned aluminum
Corvette valve covers and stock exhaust manifolds. The motor is
clean, it looks like it was recently apart. It was upgraded with
Mallory distributor and coil. The cooling system looks proper- the
radiator looks like the original with the correct shroud, clutch
fan and expansion tank. The VIN number tag is on the steering
column like it should be. New fuel tank and sending unit.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It looks very nice. Has a new rubber mat and
cardboard divider panel. The bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb
are painted gloss black, weatherstrip is new.
UNDERSIDE: The bottom of the motor is clean, solid and proper. The
frame is solid. The fiberglass floors look good, no damage that I
found. Bottom of the motor is clean, has correct screw in canister
oil filter. The Muncie 4-speed looks fresh. Rear end was just
rebuilt with new bearings and seals. Brakes were recently all
rebuilt. Exhaust is solid. Misc new parts like bushings, brake
hoses, shocks.
This is a sexy looking vintage vette. Overall excellent body, paint
and trim. Runs great. Get ready to be complimented!
