Vehicle Description
Pinstriping, V8 power, and all the right cool details make this
1966 GMC C10 a true rat rod street machine patina custom.
When it comes to cool patina, this one gets the look just right.
The panels have a well-aged look that is genuinely worn-in by time.
And while it might seem like any old farm truck can get this kind
of impression, it also needs to get the details correct. There's
symmetry in the way both front fenders were replaced with primer
black panels. They both have the Moon eyes logo with added custom
pinstriping. And speaking of the pinstriping, it's a true full
custom package on the hood, cab, and bed. It's a dual color red and
white that are quite nicely matched by the red steelies with wide
and bright whitewalls. There's even classic two-piece wheel covers
to draw extra attention to this classic addition.
Inside is pure rat rod cool. There's plenty of details to point
out, like the Impala steering wheel, classic blanket seat cover,
and Pabst Blue Ribbon tap handle for a shifter. Of course, there's
plenty of custom pinstriping throughout, too. And while these are
supposed give you a very basic impression, you'll also notice that
the gauge package is quite well-done with readouts for the battery,
oil pressure, and tach.
Under the hood, the pinstriping on the air intake signals they
really paid attention to this whole unique build. And under it is a
healthy 327 cubic-inch V8. It has been upgraded with a Demon
four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and performance camshaft.
This is even supported by a newer radiator, clean hoses, excellent
belts, and an electronic ignition coil. It makes for quite a strong
and eager power package. There's even a three-speed automatic
transmission and upgraded power brakes with discs up front to keep
this patina pickup an easy cruiser.
