This 1970 Pontiac LeMans Sport convertible has the right upgrades,
including bright paint and a new air conditioning system. But it
also never loses its vintage charm, right down to its
numbers-matching V8.
Pontiacs of this era have something special about them. The GTOs
that were based off this design are cars of legend today. And while
we cherished the Endura front end of those back in the day, the
chrome of the LeMans seems to make a bolder statement today. It's
like a shiny beak of a bird that's ready to take flight. There was
a nice investment here is keeping it shining, and that luster
matches nicely with the other bright elements like the form-fitting
rear bumper, rocker panels, and the iconic Rally II wheels. They
also upgraded this Pontiac to a nice shade of maroon. It strikes a
good-looking balance of a sophisticated tone as well as plenty of
gloss that's great for a sunshine-friendly convertible.
The white roof look good against the maroon, and with the touch of
a button, it powers down to reveal the factory-correct Sandalwood
interior. The tan color complements the exterior maroon nicely,
especially with thoughtful details, like the tan convertible boot
and maroon carpeting. So it's a coordinated package inside and out.
There's a high degree of originality inside, and so you can see the
nice mix of performance and premium that came on the LeMans Sport.
This includes the high-back bucket seats, tan three-spoke steering
wheel, and wood paneling on the dash. While you'll spot some
worthwhile upgrades, your favorite one is harder to see but easy to
feel. There was a recent investment in converting the air
conditioning to modern R134a, and the cold-blowing setup makes this
convertible easy to enjoy even in the summertime.
Under the hood is the unmistakable proper Pontiac turquoise. This
honest and clean engine bay shows off the numbers-matching 350
cubic-inch V8. The motor starts easy and makes a nice but subtle
tune from the updated dual exhaust with Flowmasters. The
three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power
brakes all make for a very pleasing anytime classic.
This is a distinct classic V8 convertible with the right look, the
right features, and the right price. Call today!!!
