This is a rare 1931 DeVaux Sports Coupe built in Grand Rapids. Michigan in the former Denault factory. According to Automotive history there were only 7 of these Sports Coupe built. The car has has resided in Michigan all it's life until It moved it to Iowa. The car runs and drives straight without any shimmy The engine runs smooth and quite. It has been repainted and shows no visible dents or scratches. The body is Maroon and the fenders are black. The wheels are painted red. It has a good shine and patina. The upholstery has no tears and barley shows its age. The Rumble seat is good except it has a small hole in the sides of the back cushion not visible until you look down into the opening. The tires are not new but still have good tread showing. All the gauges work except the fuel gauge. The temperature gauge shows hot but the engine does not over heat. I think the sensor unit needs to be replaced. It has a heater but is bypassed. The speedometer shows 70893 but I do not know if that is accurate. The roof has been completely replaced and looks like fresh out of the factory. The windshield wiper is all there but does not work but you can hear the vacuum trying to make it move. All the glass is in good working order with no cracks. The windshield tilts out for more ventilation. The transmission, clutch, and rear end all seem to be in good working condition. The brakes work as well as most old time drum brakes worked. It has a new exhaust system. This will make a very rare and collectible car for your collection and is a great conservation item at shows or in your garage.
