This 1988 Ford F150 Short-Box 4x4 is a XLT Lariat and a pretty cool
truck. What makes it unique and cool is the Short-Bed and 5 Speed
Manual Transmission. It spent it's life in Central Florida so it is
extremely nice for a mostly original truck. This truck has been
well cared for and it shows. The body is in excellent condition. It
is very straight and the paint looks excellent. It was repainted
one time in the original color of bright Regatta Blue because of
some fading. When they repainted they changed the middle color from
White to Dark Shadow Blue...it is a great combination!! It was
professionally repainted and it still looks great! The interior
appears to be all original and it is still in great condition. It
has Power Windows and Locks, AC, Cruise, Tilt. Everything was
working except for the Power Locks and the horn. The AC is nice and
cold and they added an aftermarket Temp Gauge for better accuracy.
It is just a nice mostly original interior.
Mechanically this truck is excellent! It runs and drives great!!
The 5.0L V8 has great power and runs excellent. It is all stock and
runs smooth. It has a 5 speed Manual Transmission which is pretty
cool. It shifts great and the clutch is strong. The transfer case
is the manually shifted option with locking hubs which is a very
desirable setup. The last owner did add dual exhaust that growls
nicely and it also has a newer set of 33 Inch Tires. This would be
a great truck to bomb around in on the weekends or use it for a
daily driver.
