Vehicle Description
1969 Chevrolet C20 Long Bed Pickup
With the second generation of Chevy C/K Pickups arriving in 1967
they came with a new name, the "Action Series." Introduced into
this series was a redesign but also the incorporation of some
comforts and convenience into what was primarily trucks built for
work previously. While these are undoubtedly still capable of a
hard days work, now you got a smoother suspension and more modern
features. This very clean Chevy C20 has a great look and has a ton
of new components incorporated throughout the body on restoration.
Being a C20 designates it is a 3/4 ton variant versus the 1/2 ton
C10. It is a long bed and the body is in great shape. It is painted
in a light Bronze color that has a nice finish. All of the
chrome/stainless is in excellent shape with all new bumpers, grill,
badges, side rails, mirrors and door handles. It really is a great
looking pickup that can be shown on the weekends but do work
throughout the week. So if you want something classic but also
functional, a classic truck like this is a great option. The bed
has been rhinolined to keep it protected no matter what you toss in
the back and it also has an added trailer hitch should you need to
add a bit of hauling space. All of the glass is in good condition
and this model comes with the sliding rear window. The truck rides
on nicely shining Mag wheels and has new Corsa Highway Terrain
tires.
Under the hood everything you see is brand new. It has a fresh
crate 350 V8 motor that runs great. It has been dressed up with
chrome valve covers and a chrome air cleaner plus is topped off
with an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. The motor is paired with a
Turbo 350 automatic transmission that transfers power back to the
10 bolt positraction rear end. The truck is a great driver and with
power brakes, power steering and air conditioning it is very
comfortable behind the wheel.
The interior features a bench seat done in Dark Brown leather with
Brown carpeting. It is in good condition and the seat utilizes
retractable lap belts. A new dash pad was added and most of the
dash has been kept very stock. It does have a new gauge PC board,
new gauge lenses, and a new gash gauge. The stereo is a
AM/FM/Cassette player which sounds good through the kick panel
speakers. The AC controls are factory but utilizes the Vintage AC
aftermarket system. One customization to the inside was the
addition of a chrome tilt steering column topped off with a Grant
steering wheel. All new weatherstripping was added during the build
so the doors/windows all seal up nicely.
This is a nice solid pickup that is ready to go. It is a nice
combination of functionality with classic looks. Trucks of this
vintage are pretty popular and this one will be finding a new home
for a very reasonable price.
Take this C20 home for $24,500.00!
