Vehicle Description
The AC Series of light duty trucks ended in 1939. It would be the
last year in which Chevrolet used pretty much the same front end as
the automobiles of the same era. These trucks were highly reliable
with the standard 216 cubic Inch 6 Cylinder that for the 2nd
generation put out 85 HP. The motor was popular later becoming the
blue flame 6-cylinder that the very first Corvettes had. This
particular truck has had very long time ownership with a full nut
and bolt restoration thirty years ago. However, don't let the age
of the restoration fool you, this truck still shows extremely well
for its age with a very attractive paint combination. The original
motor and transmission still operate flawlessly as I just took her
out on the road the other day. It starts, runs, shifts and brakes
very nicely with no smoke or dripping. The truck has had great
upkeep and storage throughout the years and is no stranger to being
used in shows, tours and parades. Even though prices have started
to climb on these vintage trucks, they are still best bang for your
buck as they are still the most affordable, even though restoration
costs are the same. This truck is ready to be enjoyed and driven
and is looking for its next home.
