Vehicle Description
1975 MG Midget convertible! Finished in the original bright yellow
with turquoise pinstriping over black vinyl, this very original 45
year-old blue California license plate specimen shows just over
1,100 miles on its working odometer. I am told it is original but I
cannot 100% verify this. It was recently unearthed after sitting in
a garage since about 1977. It sports a great running 1.5 liter 56
horsepower four cylinder engine mated to the original 4 speed
manual transmission. It features a brand new convertible top and
tires, vintage blaupunkt stereo, tonneau and interior covers and is
being sold with clean and clear California title! AND.....it is
being sold with a second 'NON-running parts donor car' as shown in
the photo. It has a key and lien sale papers The exterior of this
1975 MG is in quite good 99.99% RUST-FREE VERY ORIGINAL CONDITION
overall with a good overall shine to the paint finish. There is a
series of door nicks on one side along with some weird paint
blemishes, various nicks, scratches and other imperfections.
Overall this is a nice driver-quality classic as it sits! The
expression...'it's only original once' is quite applicable here!
The interior of this classic Midget is in quite good VERY ORIGINAL
CONDITION overall with working speedometer and odometer as well as
lights, blinkers and gauges. There is some light wear inside this
car most notably on the driver side carpet area, pitting on the
chrome surrounds and the radio is inop with missing dial, Overall
this is still one nice original cockpit! This little classic starts
easily and RUNS VERY WELL with respectable power and peppy
acceleration, smooth shifting transmission, straight braking and
quite solid rattle-free suspension, tight steering and nice
tracking down the road. There is a groaning noise....a bad rubber
mount I am told. Overall this is one very solid little cruiser!
