This 1966 Chevy El Camino is a Gen II model based on the Chevelle
A-body platform. However, no El Camino like this ever rolled off a
GM assembly line. Much time and effort has been invested to improve
the performance of this in this El Camino. That said, there is
still paint work and cosmetics to be done to complete the project.
The 350ci small block has been rebuilt, bored .030 over and fitted
with a performance cam and 4-barrel carburetor mounted on a
single-plane intake. Exhaust is routed through tube headers to a
free flowing system. A TH350 3-speed automatic with shift kit
transfers power to a 9" Ford posi-traction differential with 3.42:1
gears that sits neatly in a mini-tub bed housing. The chassis
mounts power steering and power disc/drum brakes w/dual master
cylinder. The exterior is straight and complete, but needs final
paint. A tilt front clip makes access to the engine easy. The
interior has reupholstered bucket seats and a console. This El
Camino is ready for a new owner who will appreciate the potential
of this modified performance Chevrolet. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS
IS".
