Really wasn't trying to sale the car and enjoyed driving it around. Health reasons and selling my house with nowhere to keep the car so I need to sale. I have reduced price to lowest possible price to hopefully get a quick sale. If the ad is still posted it is still available.
$15,000
1964 Pontiac Grand Prix – All original matching - The Pontiacs in this kind of shape are getting harder and harder to find. This is one of the cars that started the muscle car era. Although this was considered a luxury model, what Pontiac did to the Grand Prix in 1963 and 1964 changed the looks on several of their models including the legendary GTO where that model copied the front end look of the ’63,’64 Grand Prix. After the ‘63 ’64 Grand Prix took the front bench seat out and added buckets with the long shifter console many models followed that look. The RPM gauge and vacuum gauge were standard equipment back then.
Everything works on the car. Comes with automatic windows, electric antenna, trunk release button in glove box. I replaced the black carpet that was in the car with the original red carpet. Re surfaced the vinyl seats. Comes with the original and solid matching 389 4-barrell edelbrock carb engine. TH 350 Automatic transmission. I swapped out the original rotomatic “slap jack” transmission with the TH350. I have the original “slap jack” transmission and comes with the car, still in perfect working condition.
All metal is in great shape and floors are solid. I would drive this car anywhere and I do drive it often with a lot of turned heads. Front suspension was all redone in 2012 along with top end of engine (15,000 miles on rebuilt). Distributor cap replaced, ignition rotor replaced, ignition wire set replaced, timing chain kit replaced and Harmonic balancer replaced in 2012.Front window replaced in 2020. Both inner and outer tie rods plus both stabalizers replaced in 2020. All 4 new tires replaced in 2020. I have tons of extra parts including a complete A/C system including duct work, fans, evaporator, compressor and a complete dash with a/c vents if you wanted to install the a/c. I did not do that because I like keeping everything original but the option is there. I have a complete matching set of side windows, starter, and many extra chrome parts. Etc. Too many extras to name here.
Still have the original 8 lug wheels. I changed the dual exhaust to have the GTO side pipes instead of going out the back (sorry, could not control myself on that one). Has original radio but has an under dash radio CD player with a 10 disc changer in the trunk. Paint is decent but could use a good sanding and compound job. Also still has the original windshield fluid bottle holder under the hood. Not a show car but a real nice head turner and a hit at the local car swaps. Priced at $15,000 for a quick sale. You will not find a better deal for a car like this.
