Audi R8 V10 Review, February 2009 Building the R8 has been one of
the best decisions Audi has ever made, was Car and Driver's high
praise for a model the magazine hailed, noting ... (its)
avant-garde styling, light weight from an all-aluminum body and
structure, and nearly perfect handling with a standard
all-wheel-drive system all contribute to the car's special nature.
Prospective buyers who haven't already done so need to watch the R8
manufacturing video on YouTube to fully appreciate how
revolutionary and unique this sports car really is. The beautiful
Brilliant Red over black enhanced leather 2011 Audi R8 V10 offered
here represents the marque extremely well. Why go with a subtle
color when there is nothing otherwise subtle about an R8 V10? Its
condition is first-rate with all servicing performed by Audi
dealers, and accumulated mileage of just 5,358 miles since its
European delivery to its first and only owner. That's roughly 600
miles per year indicating this world-class supercar has been
treated with world-class care. Given the thrills the car offers,
driving it sparingly must have taken some serious willpower. Car
and Driver: The V-10 is more powerful and serves up more torque
(391 lb-ft versus 317 lb-ft for the V-8), and it also revs to an
8700-rpm redline versus the V-8's 8400 rpm. Audi claims that 0 to
62 mph comes up in 3.9 seconds versus the factory's conservative
4.5-second figure for the V-8. Top speed climbs... to 196 mph. One
surprising aspect for a performance car of this pedigree is the
comfort it offers occupants. A number of reviewers even suggested
the R8 could be a daily-driver candidate. ...the R8 V-10 won't
exhaust you on long trips. Driver and passenger travel in great
comfort, and there is ample storage space in the front trunk and
behind the seats. The standard driver-adjustable magnetic shocks
let you choose a sporty or more comfortable setup. The standard
seats are wide and comfortable. Most prospective owners will be
well aware of the design details and the many features of the R8.
To all of that (much of which is listed on the right-hand side of
the car's original window sticker in the photo gallery), this R8
offers optional carbon fiber interior and engine trim,
titanium-finish 19-inch alloy wheels, and carbon-fiber side blades,
in addition to the optional R-Tronic 6-speed transmission and
enhanced leather interior mentioned above. While the more than 180
high-definition photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup
video available on the GarageKeptMotors website showcase this R8 in
detail, we encourage in-person inspections at our Grand Rapids,
Michigan showroom. Please call to arrange an appointment in
advance, or get in touch by phone or email if you have any
questions. Included with the car are its original window sticker,
owner's literature, R8-branded car cover, luggage compartment net,
factory first-aid kit, and an Audi-branded tote bag. The car still
wears its European tourist-delivery license plate showing IN for
Ingolstadt, the site of Audi's world headquarters As much as we
marvel at the restrained mileage-build on this R8 (and appreciate
the pristine condition of the car that resulted), we can't help but
envy its original owner for the experi
