Vehicle Description
Cool paint, a powerful V8, and some well-placed upgrades make this
1966 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova the kind of hardtop classic that's
hard to forget.
There was a big restoration investment in this coupe a few years
ago, and the quality is still quite evident today. The bright red
paint makes it instantly distinctive. It has a nice gloss of a
quality application, and the vividness looks close to the Rally Red
that came on the '66 Corvette. In fact, the 15-inch Rally wheels
were borrowed from the bigger brother, too. So this one has a
substantial look. It's also imposing because '66 debuted the second
generation that had a crisper style and slab-sided intimidation.
And the expertly deleted trim lets you focus on pieces like the
wide chrome bumpers and big exhaust tips.
Inside is a well-done black interior. There's quality in the
details, right down to the headliner and door panels. And it's
always great to have a Nova with bucket seats. The B&M floor
shifter, grippy sports steering wheel, and full digital gauge
package are well-placed additions that really make it feel like a
driver's classic. The stereo has been upgraded to a retro-style
AM/FM/cassette unit with nice 6x9 speakers. So you know this coupe
is perfect for rolling down all the windows to show off the
pilalrless hardtop profile and driving around with your favorite
music.
The largest motor for 1966 was a 327, and so a 350 cubic-inch V8 is
such an easy and worthwhile upgrade. Not only does this have the
extra displacement, but also a performance intake and four-barrel
carburetor for enhanced power. The upgraded dual exhaust lets this
V8 exhaust with a nice tune. And because this is the kind of
hardtop you'll want to cruise everywhere, it also comes with good
driving features, like power steering, a three-speed automatic
transmission, and wide Firestone tires.
These second-gen Novas were only around for two model years, and so
it's always nice to find a well-presented coupe with a head-turning
style. Don't let this deal slip away, call today!
