Restored and very nice 1971 Mach 1 Mustang.
Sold new on September 3rd 1971 to a pilot in Olympia, Washington State. He drove the car 47.000 miles before parking it 3 years later. The car sat for years until it sold and it later ended up with the current owners who started on a slow restoration. Over many years they spent around $80.000 restoring the Mustang. After it was finished they drove it around 700 miles before old age made it difficult to get in and out of the car so they also stopped driving the beautiful car and she is now for sale.
The Mach 1 has never been bad, except for some floor rust the body was pristine. It was of course stripped down to bare metal before an expensive paint job was performed.
The engine is the numbers matching 351 Cleveland and the C6 transmission is the original one. The car has an added A/C that blows cold (needed here in Southern Arizona) and a radio from a 1972 Mustang with an 8 track. The original radio is still with the car and is included in the sale.
The car comes with a Marti rapport.
The Mach 1 is in Arizona and we will arrange transport to most anywhere in the US or out of the country.
