Vehicle Description
1966 Chrysler Newport Owned this car for appx 10 years or more.
This is a extremely rare car being a 2 door hardtop. The odometer
reads 65,650 and its still got the 383 Bigblock Mopar in it that
runs perfect. I just added a aluminum intake, edelbrock
carb,coil,fuel filters,8mm wires,chrome valve covers and gaskets
and changed the oil last week and I kept the old 2 barrel and
intake you can have with it. Its still got the factory R12 air
conditioning that blows cold. Its got a 3 speed automatic that
shifts great and is geared for the highway so it cruises at 70 and
floats going down the road like its on air. About 6 months ago I
done a new waterpump, hoses and belts and the inside of this motor
is clean as new,I took pictures to show you. I also did all new
brakes,wheel cylinders,master cylinder,spring kit,brake hoses, and
even drums. The car is lowered by just blocks in the rear and turn
the torsion arms in the front which you can raise it up is high as
you want very easy if you wanted. And a couple of years ago I did a
HEI kit to do away with the points so its much more dependable and
runs like new. I have a clear Texas title in my name! Car sounds
great with dual exhaust and square tips out the back. About 2 years
ago I added a set of US MAGS 20x8.5's in the rear and some 18x8.5's
in the front which fit like a glove even with the fender skirts on.
The interior looks beautiful and was done in 2 tone leather. The
only thing they didn't do and I don't know why but the trim around
the headliner never got painted black so its still the original
green but it would be easy to spray paint and screw up. Custom
console with cup holders and gauges with a Cd player and theres 4)
6x9's in the rear and in the trunk there is2) 12 inch kickers and
2) 10 inch Rockford fosgate and a kicker amp it sounds amazing.
Grant steering wheel and all the glass is good and all the
lights, horn and etc work. Also there is black carpet on the dash
pad which a leather rap would be a nice touch
