283ci V8 motor which is mated to an automatic transmission. Both
the motor and transmission are in strong working order and creates
ample power for an evening cruise with the top down.
The exterior is finished in a very beautiful color combination of
white and grey which is nicely accented by the chrome grille, and
chrome trim accents throughout the exterior. This Corvette was the
recipient of a $200,000 dollar frame off restoration and is in
exceptional condition. The red vinyl interior is in great condition
and looks great with the white exterior.
For 1959, the Corvette received minor updates such as the seats and
door panels were redesigned and a shelf was added under the dash, a
new instrument panel with concave instruments to reduce glare was
introduced and the tachometer, seat belts, outside rearview
mirrors, electric clock, and dual exhaust was now standard
equipment. Decoding the VIN reveals that this was produced in the
St. Louis plant and was the 1,132 in the production sequence. This
is a wonderfully restored Corvette that is ready for its next
