wants to leave tire marks on whatever pavement it comes in contact
with. €" John Davis, Host, MotorWeek Debuted Saturday, August 17,
2019 at the Woodward Dream Cruise in Pontiac, Michigan, and
subsequently displayed at the Modern Street Hemi Shootout Lot, the
2020 Anniversary Edition Dodge Charger Daytona faithfully honors an
American motorsport landmark achievement. Fifty years ago, Chrysler
created and sold just 501 Dodge Charger Daytona models specially
equipped to meet NASCAR homologation requirements. Those winged and
re-nosed Daytonas went on to dominate NASCAR, in the process
becoming the first competitor to circumnavigate a Series racetrack
at over 200 mph. Nothing less than a very special automobile would
serve to appropriately commemorate a model so special. And that's
just what Dodge created. Like the legend it honors, the 2020 Dodge
Charger Daytona offered here is one of only 501 produced. From its
White Knuckle paint (one of just four exterior paint options)
tastefully complemented with restrained use of magenta up front and
Daytona blue in the rear (including the bespoke Daytona stripe), at
very first sight, this car communicates special. But it's so much
more than a look. Under the hood there's the 717-horseepower
6.6-liter supercharged Hemi Hellcat V8, backed by a seven-speed
automatic transmission, all riding on a specially calibrated
suspension. The result? Get inside, select launch control on the
comprehensive touch-screen, mash the accelerator, and this Daytona
actually screams. Zero to 60 arrives in just 3.6 seconds, and the
end of the quarter mile shows up in 12.1 seconds after hitting
124mph. As John Davis put it, the Daytona: Gets to 60 quicker than
you can say its name. A review on the motor noted that the
Anniversary Edition car's interior offers its own special touches:
Inside, the 'Daytona' branding continues with the name embroidered
on the black Nappa leather and Alcantara suede performance
seatbacks. Blue accent stitching appears throughout the interior on
the armrests, door panel, dashboard, and shifter. The Charger
Daytona also receives a real carbon-fiber instrument panel and a
flat-bottom steering wheel, which is exclusive to the Daytona. A
custom badge located on the passenger side dashboard identifies the
vehicle, too. On this particular Daytona, the badge reads: 371 of
501. Most prospective owners will be well aware of the design
details and the many features of this limited-edition Daytona. In
the more than 200 high-definition photographs and the short
walk-around-and-startup video available on the GarageKeptMotors
website, the car's standout condition is faithfully presented.
Nonetheless, we encourage in-person inspections at our Grand Rapids
Showroom (and by all means bring your own camera!) Please call to
arrange an appointment in advance, or get in touch by phone or
email if you have any questions. Delivered new in Walled Lake,
Michigan, this Anniversary Edition Daytona is a Carfax-verified
one-owner vehicle with a total of a mere 71 miles (that's not a
typo) on the odometer. Effectively, this is a new car. If the
time-honored collector-car purchase advice Buy the best one you can
find, is your guide, chances are, this is your Daytona. And if it's
eye-popping performance that motivates you, as John Davis put it,
nothing really compares to the thrill of a burnout in a 700-plus
horsepower rear-wheel-drive Chrysler product.... So basically,
