Attractive and rare car in very nice/clean condition. Original 390 is fitted with new Edlebrock Performer 2105 aluminum intake manifold, Holley 4-barrel carb, and single snorkel aircleaner assembly.
Fires right up and settles into a lopey idle and deep aggressive exhaust note from the dual Flowmasters.
Rated at 300 horsepower with 427 lb ft torque.
Maroon Metallic with a base/clear paint. Original color - looks really good with black vinyl top and white pearl interior.
White pearl interior is very nice. New in '65, high style padded dash - in very good condition with no modifications or cracks. Original instruments all work, along with working am/fm stereo. Factory steering wheel with no wear or cracks. Very nice, comfortable, stylish interior.
Original floor and trunk pans. Excellent original quarter panels.
Originally from Philadelphia - however - spent most of it's life on the west coast. Last 6+ years in Texas, Dallas and Austin - garaged.
Front grille, rear tail panel, front/rear bumpers, head and tail light bezels are all in great condition. Original bumper guards.
65 Galaxies XL's are a bit unusual - rarely seen at shows. One with a factory high-performance Z-Code 390 4-barrel and 4 speed manual transmission is a rare combination.
A special automobile for sure.
Sad day to be parting with her - however - on to a new chapter.
