This 1985 GMC Sierra Classic 2500 Turbo Diesel Pickup is such a
cool and clean 4WD truck!! This truck came from the Pacific NW
(Oregon) and it shows by how clean it is on the outside and
underside. This was a highly optioned GMC in 1985 and this truck
was restored a few years ago and it still looks amazing. It is such
a good looking vehicle. When restored it was changed form a 1/2 Ton
to a 3/4 Ton by swapping Axles and suspension. This truck runs and
drives as good as it looks and aside from the AC needing to be
serviced it is ready to roll. The body is in excellent condition
and it is a super straight truck. We found no evidence of rust or
rust repair anywhere and the underside is also extremely clean.
When it was restored it was professionally painted in what we were
told are the original colors and the paint still shines. We were
not able to verify because the RPO code says Custom 2 Tone Paint
with white. All of the chrome and stainless are also excellent! The
interior is also in beautiful condition all around and needs
nothing. This truck has power windows and locks, tilt wheel, cruise,
intermittent wipers, AC, and factory Clock. They did add an
aftermarket radio.
One of the coolest things about this 3/4 Ton pickup is the
mechanical aspect of this rig. It runs and drives so nice and the
previous owner spent a lot of money to make this a reliable truck.
We did receive a lot of the receipts for the work done. He rebuilt
the original 6.2L Diesel Engine and added a Turbo Kit to give this
beast great power to go along with the torque. It was
professionally installed and we have the receipt. The transmission
is a GM rebuilt 700R4 Automatic. It does have the rebuild tag on it
but we do not have the receipt for that. It shifts smooth with no
issues. It has the np208 Transfer Case and the 4WD works like it
should. Rear End is a Corporate 14 Bolt and the Front End is a 10
Bolt. They both have 3.42 Gears. This truck has the HD Towing
Package and HD Coolers as well. He added a 6 Inch Lift Kit that was
done right with new springs all around and it sits on some newer
BFG All Terrains (315/75/16) mounted on nice Aluminum Wheels. The
front end has all newer parts like steering box, ball joints, tie
rods, bushings, etc. It is obvious this was a quality build and the
new owner will not be disappointed.
