Car will start and RUN when gas is poured directly into the carburetor. (see Video Clip on ad for confirmation). However fuel system will need to be flushed and carburetor rebuilt or a new one put on for a continuous run.
1993 - car was painted and 3 coats of lacquer applied. Rockers and rear quarter panels on both sides were cut out and new metal welded in. Hood, trunk and roof ornaments were replaced. Also new seat covers, headliner, carpet and scuff plates were installed. Original AM radio (I still have in the trunk) was replaced by an original looking AM/FM cassette radio with stereo speaker in between front seats and rear dash top mounted speakers. All other interior parts are original. Also engine was bored out in 93.
1989 entire muffler system replaced from engine to exhaust.
Car was purchased in 1989 and garage kept until 2007. From 2007 on, car was in a carport.
There is no visible rust on or under the car aside from what is on the front and rear bumper. The floor pans and trunk pan are solid. The car was last driven on the road in June 2007 for a 180 mile trip from a home I sold in Waynesboro, VA to the carport in Prince George, VA.
