Vehicle Description
1949 FORD TUDOR DELUXE SEDAN FLATHEAD V8 w/ OVERDRIVE This car had
a driver quality restoration completed in 2006 and is still a nice
driver. I have over $15K in receipts from the start of restoration
to date. 3 owners since completed. Paint is a bit tired but still
shines. All lights work except dome light. Electrics are still 6V
positive ground and a 60 amp alternator has been added. The
original radio has been converted to AM/FM stereo with an Ipod
jack. Three on the tree with working overdrive. Dual exhaust with
glasspacks. The Coker wide whites were just installed and have less
than 100 miles. The odometer shows 60,420 miles and there is a note
that the car had 53,000 miles at the time of restoration. There is
an oil change sticker in the door jamb from 1985 that shows 47,000
miles. Could be actual or the second time around. The engine was
rebuilt at the time of restoration at a cost of $2,800 with either
new or reconditioned parts except the block, cam and one head. Was
bored .030 over. I've added Offenhauser heads/intake, Holley 390
cfm 4 barrel and a Mallory flat top dual point distributor. Starts
right up hot or cold. An electric fuel pump has been installed in
case of vaporlock. Heater core recently rebuilt. The pans and trunk
are in good shape with some rust but no cancer. The body panels are
showing some bubbles over the rear wheel wells, front of hood and
the lower front corners of both doors. Both rear windows have small
cracks at the bottom rear corners. The king pins and outer control
arm bushing could use replacement and NOS parts are included I've
tried to describe the car as honestly as possible but feel free to
ask questions. It has so many new parts I can't list them all. If
you are local please inspect the car or have an inspection service
take a look. I'm retired and available most of the time. Would also
do a Facetime walk around.
