Vehicle Description
This week Canyon State Classics brings to market an awesome example
of a 1948 Willys Jeepster in stunning condition inside and out.
This vehicle was the beginning of the early Jeepster which was
Jeeps first entry into a civilian designer jeep for everyday use.
This beautiful example underwent a full nut and bolt restoration
about 20 years ago and has had about half of its miles put on since
the engine swap. This has been upgraded to a very correct Buick
Dauntless V6 which Jeep used later on in Jeep CJ models. Don't miss
your chance to own one of the cleanest Jeepsters on the market
today...BUY NOW!!
The list of some of the equipment:
-Upgraded Buick V6 from original Inline 4
-3 Speed Manual Trans
-Chrome Hubcaps w/ Good Year Whitewall Tires
-Split Bench Seat with Rear Access for Rear Seat (Seats 6)
-Full Factory Soft Top
-Original Jeep AM Radio
The body on this Jeep is in great condition overall. The paint on
the Jeep has held up well since restoration and looks amazing in
Fairway Green. The body on the jeep is all steel and is very
straight. All glass is original on the truck and in great shape.
The full soft top is excellent and the plastic windows look like
new. All chrome and emblems looks factory fresh.
The interior is in great shape all around. The original seats have
been recovered in fresh tan velour and are all in great condition
with no tares or rips of any kind and no signs of wear. The dash is
crack free and in nice shape with all correct gauges in place and
everything functioning as it should. The dual adjustable spot
lights are a nice touch! It also has the functional interior heater
and AM radio installed.
Mechanically, this little Willys runs GREAT! The jeep starts right
up and blows no smoke or has an hesitation. The Buick Dauntless V6
moves this Jeep around with ease and is actually quite peppy, and
engine was rebuilt around 30k miles ago when its was swapped into
this chassis during full resto...this thing just runs to sweet! The
Jeep is very tight and the cooling system keeps the motor cool even
in the Arizona heat. All brakes were fully serviced and work
perfectly. The electrical system was updated and the original
Motorola alternator was replaced with a more dependable AC Delco
alternator/regulator combo. This jeep is extremely reliable and
starts right up every time.
All in all, this is one heck of a nice Jeep to drive and will get
compliments as well as stares everywhere it goes. If you have been
