BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this 1984 Eldorado Biarritz is very
solid, and while it has some dings here and there, it is clear this
car has been taken care of and used sparingly. Even the convertible
top is in nice original condition!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The factory name for the paint color on
this car is Autumn Maple Firemist, and that's just about the best
way to describe the unique color on this car. The color looks
fantastic against the white top and interior, and really says
"Cadillac!" The paint appears to be all original except for the
hood which has been repainted. Aside from typical signs of age and
use, such as scratches, etc. the paint is in good condition for the
age of this car.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior is original white
leather, which is not only a somewhat rare color for this
generation Eldroado but also looks great against the dark exterior.
While the driver's seat is beginning to show some signs of use,
overall the interior is in nice condition and has held up well over
the years.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: The 4.1 liter V8 (HT4100) fires right up and
sounds good; nice and quiet, just like a Cadillac should! This car
is no speed demon, but the 4.1 is plenty of power to cruise around
town as you do in a convertible Cadillac. This car rides like,
well, a Cadillac too! It is truly a pleasure to drive a big, cushy
car like this.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The overall originality, the
professional convertible conversion, and the one-owner aspect
should all be very appealing!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: As handsome as this generation
Eldorado is, especially when well-preserved, the front-wheel-drive
aspect can be a turn-off for some buyers.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? This car is turn key as it sits, but various
items could use some maintenance as any old, unrestored car would.
The main item to address would be that the rear quarter window
regulators are weak. Additionally, the A/C may need to be
recharged.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Whether you have fond memories
