Vehicle Description
This 1940 Ford Coupe Convertible Rumble Seat really brings together
everything you love. It's an iconic Ford style with plenty of hot
rod flair. There's nice V8 power, an upgraded suspension, and while
the leather interior is supple, the seat most people will be
talking about is the iconic rumble seat.
The elegantly rounded fenders and sharply-pointed front end of the
'40 Ford make this design a true pre-war icon. Bright bumpers,
two-piece wheel covers, a chrome grille, and teardrop headlight
bezels deliver the right classic brightwork. Because you're looking
at a quality Wescott fiberglass body, it really has a well-fitting
appearance. And the body panels are quite important, because this
was built to be a bit sleeker. Expertly deleted trim, including the
door handles, give this car the kind of clean look that make people
take notice. The matte black paint was applied with an even hand,
and so it gives a nice soft glow to the satin finish. On top of
that is a full custom pinstripe package completed only a few years
ago. It's done in a two-tone red and white, which coordinates
nicely with the whitewall tires and the whole interior.
The black convertible top looks good against the black body, but
when you take it down, the red and white interior really give off
vibrant look. And the pattern on the leather seat and side panels
has a hint of that cool tuck and roll style. The classic-style Ford
steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column, and it gives you a good
view of the full Dolphin gauge package. There are nice upgrades
like power windows, remote door openers, cup holders, and an
AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input to plug in your phone. But the
feature we know you'll love the most is the cool rumble seat in the
back. It's even finished in a comfy cloth so legs won't get
overheated even if you use this for a sunny day parade.
The dark engine bay funnels your attention to the red V8 in the
middle. You'll even spot cool/classic pieces like the vintage air
grabber and painted ribbed valve covers. This 305 cubic-inch V8
inhales deeper with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and it
exhales with a sweet tune as shorty headers feed a glasspack-style
dual exhaust. The three-speed automatic transmission, upgraded
independent front end, rack & pinion steering, and front disc
brakes are all part of a package that makes this a fine
cruiser.
You're looking at a strong-running and head-turning rumble seat
Ford. But you're not the only one who can resist a package like
this, so hurry up and call today!
