Hello,
I am selling my 1969 Dodge Dart GT. This car was purchased new by a 74 year old woman named Edith Vreeland in Los Angeles, California. She drove it until she passed away in 1988. Her Great Nephew, Mike Edborg then bought the car to drive to college. In 1989, Mike sold the car to Tom Huelsman of Chickasaw, Ohio. Tom wanted to use the sheet metal for a "M" code Dart that he was restoring. When the car arrived from California, he realizes it was to nice to cut up. At that time he decided to store it. The Dart sat for 17 years in a climate controlled building until my father James Bruns of Maria Stein, Ohio bought it in July of 2006.
The car was a 68.000 mile, numbers matching original. It still had the factory exhaust on it when we started the restoration in September of 2006. Since there was no rust on this California car, we decided to disassemble it and give it a fresh coat of paint. The interior had new seat covers on, but the rest was just cleaned and reinstalled. The engine and transmission were gone through, new seals were installed and painted. The A/C system was cleaned and converted to 134A and works great when it is charged. Everything else on the car was basically just cleaned and refinished. It still has its original top and is in great shape.
The car now has a 83/4 rear end with 3.55 sure grip, dual exhaust, Mopar electronic ignition and a 625 Carter AFB four barrel on a 68 349 intake. This car runs great, most people think it has a 340 in it instead of a 318.
My father passed away in 2012 and I inherited this car. I have enjoyed every minute I have had with it. I owned a 1966 Coronet 440 for 32 years that I sold 3 years ago. I have owned Classic cars since I was 15. I have now fallen in love the new modern Muscle cars and am wanting to get a Challenger Scat Pack. I want this amazing Dart to go to someone who will use it and enjoy it. I am asking $26,500, but will entertain any reasonable offer. I can also send any pictures or videos you would want of the car.
Thanks Scott Bruns.
