4 cylinder rebuilt original engine completely restored August 2000 with modified 4 speed 1983 Ford F150 synchronized transmission rebuilt by D&J Manufacturing in California, papers available for both. Jim Kellett, one of the founders of the Baltimore Model A Ford Club, disassembled car to frame, painted frame and rebuilt car. He installed new tires, brakes, transmission, steering column, clutch, battery and many other new parts and wiring. By end of 2013 he had car back together. In early 2014 he installed a new battery and drove car 30 miles for first time after reassembly. Due to illness he sold car. In February 2014 we purchased car, carefully drove it the required 500 break-in miles, checked over car for adjustments, completeness of work, had car reviewed by Fred Chapman, a well known Model A mechanic. There is one dash board screw missing. Interior upholstery is original and all but driver area in very good and intact condition with pull down shades in back seat. Drivers seat has short tear less than 1-1/2", seat back worn a bit, seat frame is worn on side, driver door panel shows minor wear and driver side foot panels is worn. Header is good. Color is brown. Paint is bad. There is a good new roof on car, but car needs new paint job. We had intended to paint car next, but knees have given out and car is not comfortable to drive. Car cruises at 55-60 and is a sweet driver car. Engine runs great, transmission very smooth to shift. Car is in overall good mechanical condition, everything works.
